In Sanskrit language, “hasta” means hand and “mudra” means gesture; together, they form a system of hand gestures used in Indian classical dance. Fascinated by how dancers use one single gesture to interpret different meanings and to convey objects, emotions, and stories through movement.

Through my work, I explore these ancient hand gestures through design to enhance dance not just for aesthetics, but for learning, preservation, and emotional connection. This invites you to not only see with your eyes, but also begin to speak with your hands.
