What happens when recipes are treated not merely as food instructions but as design material? Recipes intrinsically contain narratives, memories, family relationships, and cultural knowledge. My thesis narrates my family legacy through recipes of three prawn-based dishes, using graphic design to make these stories visible. Visual design can draw attention to quiet narratives within everyday cooking. By treating recipes as storytelling devices, this project shows how cooking can uphold narratives of survival, celebration, and migration, one dish at a time.
