Triggered by cultural reactions of disgust to the word “moist,” this thesis explores how revulsion and discomfort can operate as active forces within graphic design. By disrupting typographic hierarchy and form, my thesis heightens sensory awareness. Focusing on words that provoke visceral responses, the project uses typography to amplify sensation and dissolve the assumed boundaries of graphic form.
