The instinct to harmoniously compose furniture within a space parallels the instinct that guides the placement of type on a page. Like typography, furniture operates within systems of constraint that structure space and direct movement, attention, and interaction. By investigating the relationship between furniture and type, this work examines abstract typographic principles through physical experience, reframing composition as an embodied spatial practice rather than a purely visual one.
