Kokum is a small, sour, cooling fruit from India’s west coast that most often appears as an anonymous red sherbet, if at all. This thesis treats kokum as a campaign client, tracing one sherbet recipe into five futures—tint, skin, fat, candy, and syrup—through type, image, and motion. Situated within the rooms and memories of my grandmother’s house, the project asks how design can shift attention and value toward an otherwise invisible ingredient rather than leaving it as just the drink.
